Black Friday 2026 Timeline

When Should You Start Marketing for Black Friday 2026?

The right time to start Black Friday marketing is before it feels urgent.

Once everyone else starts shouting, your advantage comes from already having the offer, campaign, pages, emails and follow-up built and ready to go.

The short answer?

Earlier than the week of Black Friday.

Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27. If you wait until Thanksgiving week to start building the campaign, you are trying to create the offer, pages, emails, checkout and promotion while the buying window is already opening.

That is backwards.

8+ Weeks Out: Decide the Offer

Choose what you are selling, who it is for, what makes the Black Friday version special and how much margin you can afford to give up.

Decide whether you will use bundles, bonuses, thresholds, limited quantities, VIP access or other offer mechanics.

6–8 Weeks Out: Build the Campaign

Create the sales page, checkout, order bump, upsell, confirmation page, email sequence and tracking.

This is also the time to make sure your list, website and automations work.

4–6 Weeks Out: Start Warming the Audience

You do not need to announce the full deal yet.

Talk about the problem. Educate. Tell stories. Highlight products. Publish useful content. Begin collecting VIP or early-access signups.

2–4 Weeks Out: Build Anticipation

Start talking more directly about Black Friday. Preview the event. Share what is different this year. Invite people to the early-access list. Make the date matter.

Black Friday Week: Execute

At this point, most of the work should already be finished. You are launching, monitoring, answering questions and adjusting small things.

You should not be building the funnel from scratch.

After Black Friday: Follow Up

Welcome buyers. Recover remaining opportunities. Run Cyber Monday if it fits the business. Then move buyers into retention and future offers.

What If You Are Starting Late?

Then simplify.

Do not try to build seventeen funnels and twelve offers.

Choose one strong offer, one clear page, one email sequence and one checkout path.

A simple campaign that is finished beats an elaborate campaign still sitting in draft mode.

The Calendar Does Not Care

Starting Late Forces Bad Decisions.

When the timeline gets compressed, businesses discount too hard, skip testing, rush the funnel, write weak emails and leave money sitting in cart recovery and follow-up.
